Wednesday evenings

With summer league over, we will now have various fun games on Wednesday nights from around 1900 until indoor season starts (in about a month). These games are open to everyone, regardless of experience, or period played with Curve; they will usually have a theme (like Vegetarians vs. Non-Vegetarians, or Old vs. Young).

Sunday pick will still take place at 1700 until further notice.

Bank holiday -> pickup game will be on Monday!

It’s a bank holiday this wknd (2-4 May). So, as is traditional, the pickup game will be on Monday. At 5pm.

(There may also be a Sunday game – check the yahoo group list).

Clock change ! Sunday pickup will now run from 4pm.

From this weekend (29 March), Sunday pickup in Clissold Park will be from 4pm.

In a month or so we’ll shift to 5pm – I’ll post a note here when we do.

Training dates till the end of May

There will be no Sunday pre-game training on the following dates due to tournaments

The pick up game should still be on

May 17 (maybe)
May 24

There may be additional Sundays used for closed training to prepare for these tournaments, which will be mentioned in the mailing list

Christmas party and the morning after

The Christmas party is on Saturday the 6th of December, from 7 pm till late, at the Red Lion pub (which is at 132 Church street). Even if you are not a ‘regular’, you will still be welcomed with open arms (although we do request that everyone bring a little bit of [preferably Vegan] food).

As a result of this party, there is no coaching on Sunday the 7th. Only a pick game at 2 pm.

Due to night falling earlier and earlier, the Sunday frisbee activites have been preponed further.

New players, sunday training, and winter league

There will be no pre-pick-up training on the mixed winter league dates. The pick up game will (probably, join the mailing list to know for sure) still take place on those days.

We are trying to encourage new players and players who haven’t played for Curve before to play winter league with us; using it as a chance to get new players playing tournaments, and giving recent transfers a chance to get to know us at our freezing grumpiest!

The winter league dates are:

Sunday training and pick-up (the days get shorter)

As dusk is falling earlier and earlier (and the clocks “fall back”), the start times of the sunday training session and game have been changed to:

1330: Training session (open to everyone)

1500: Pick-up game (also open to everyone)

1700-ish: Pub

Wednesday = indoors !

With winter drawing in, from now on, the Weds game will now shift from Clissold to indoors. We play in Wood Green. If you’d like to join us, come along to the Sunday game and introduce yourself, and we’ll explain how it works (cost, location etc.).
