Curve comprise friendly mixed, open and women’s teams playing Ultimate frisbee in Clissold Park, Stoke Newington (Hackney, North London) and at a range of fun and competitive tournaments. We welcome players, new and experienced, of all abilities, ages and genders – both those who want to develop their game and play competitively and those who want to play for fun.
WHERE WE PLAY:
We play mixed ultimate pickup outdoors on grass in the north west corner of Clissold park (where the North London Summer League games are played). Nearest tubes are Finsbury Park or Manor House (then 10 mins walk).
During the Winter months we also play indoors on Wednesdays (Wood Green) and Thursdays (Stoke Newington). To play indoors you’ll need to register so you can book a spot – places are limited to 18 per session. Cost is £5.50 per session. Visit here for indoors details.
PRACTICE/PICKUP GAME TIMES:
We meet for pickup games:
- on Sunday afternoons from 2pm in Clissold Park
- on Wednesday and Thursday evenings we play indoors in Wood Green and Stoke Newington (respectively). Visit here for indoors details.
On bank holiday weekends the pickup game is played on Monday at the usual time (rather than Sunday).
Bring a light and a dark top and water!
TOURNAMENTS
We play in a range of fun and more competitive (i.e. Mixed Tour) tournaments, Winter and Summer League and try and cater for both skilled players who want to play competitively and develop while also providing a route in for newer players seeking to learn about the game and for those that just want to play more relaxed Ultimate.
